In the context and viewpoints of Western theory of sublime, by reviewing the stories and disscusion of sublime in Chinese culture, we find that the category of "greatness" of Chinese classical aesthethics is consistent and compatible with the sublime category of Western aesthethics.
我们在西方崇高理论的语境和观点的观照下 ,来考察中国文化中的崇高现象及相关论述就会发现 :中国古典美学范畴中的“大”与西方美学范畴里的崇高是相通的、一致的 ,按照西方美学家对崇高的分类 ,中国的“大”主要属于数量的崇高或象征型的崇高 ,即一种静态的、观照的崇高。
